Welcome to Spinning Chicken Gifts. These Terms & Conditions explain how purchases made through our website work, including ordering, personalisation, payment, delivery, cancellations and returns.

By placing an order through our website, you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

2. Products and Descriptions

We take care to describe and photograph our products accurately.

As many of our products are handmade or made using natural materials, minor variations in colour, grain, texture and engraving appearance may occur.

These natural characteristics are part of the individuality of handmade products and do not normally constitute faults. This does not affect your rights if goods are defective, misdescribed or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements.

Product dimensions are approximate unless explicitly stated otherwise.

3. Personalised Orders

For personalised products, customers are responsible for checking the information submitted, including names, dates, spellings and other requested details.

Please review all personalisation details carefully before completing checkout.

We generally reproduce the personalisation information exactly as supplied, although minor adjustments to layout or formatting may be necessary to accommodate the design.

If you notice an error after ordering, please contact us as quickly as possible. We will try to accommodate changes, but cannot guarantee amendments once production has begun.

If we make a personalisation error that differs from the agreed order, we will arrange an appropriate correction, replacement or refund.

4. Prices and Payment

All product prices are displayed in the currency selected on our website.

The total payable, including applicable delivery charges and taxes, is displayed before checkout is completed.

Payments are processed securely through our available payment providers, including WooPayments.

We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing or product information errors. If an error affects an order already placed, we will contact you before proceeding and offer the option to accept the corrected price or receive a refund.

5. Placing an Order

When you place an order, you will receive an order acknowledgement by email.

We may contact you if additional personalisation information is required or if there is a problem fulfilling your order.

If we are unable to fulfil an accepted order, we will explain the situation and provide an appropriate refund.

6. Production and Dispatch

Many of our items are handmade or personalised to order.

Preparation and production times vary depending on the product and the volume of orders being processed.

Estimated dispatch times are provided where applicable.

Production time is separate from postal delivery time.

If you require an item for a specific date, please contact us before ordering. We cannot guarantee delivery by a particular date unless expressly agreed.

7. UK Delivery

We offer the following UK delivery services, subject to product eligibility:

Free Economy Delivery

Available on many smaller items. Usually dispatched using Royal Mail Second Class, without tracking.

Please allow up to 10 working days after dispatch for delivery.

Standard Tracked 48 — £3.00

Estimated delivery within 2–4 working days after dispatch.

Priority Tracked 24 — £5.00

Estimated delivery within 1–2 working days after dispatch.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may vary by location or during postal disruptions.

Further information is available on our Delivery & Shipping page.

We remain responsible for ensuring goods reach you in accordance with applicable consumer law.

8. International Orders

International shipping is available to selected destinations.

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout.

Customers may be responsible for import duties, customs charges or local taxes imposed by their destination country, unless otherwise stated at checkout.

International delivery times vary, and customs clearance may cause additional delays.

9. Cancelling Non-Personalised Orders

For most non-personalised products purchased online, you have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days after receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

To exercise this right, please contact us with your order details and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.

After notifying us of your cancellation, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

Unless we agree otherwise, customers are responsible for the direct cost of returning non-faulty products following a change-of-mind cancellation.

Where the legal cancellation right applies, we will refund the product price and the applicable basic delivery charge, subject to the statutory rules on refunds.

We may wait until the returned goods are received, or evidence of their return is provided, before issuing the refund.

Refunds will be processed within the legally required timescales.

10. Personalised and Made-to-Order Products

Products made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised for you are generally excluded from the statutory 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right.

This includes items engraved or customised with names, dates, personal messages or other customer-specific information.

This exception does not apply merely because an item is handmade or produced after an order is placed.

If an eligible personalised item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly personalised by us or not as described, your statutory consumer rights continue to apply.

If you need to request a change or cancellation before production begins, please contact us as soon as possible.

11. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

We take pride in our products and want every customer to be happy with their purchase.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, incorrectly personalised by us or materially different from its description, please contact us.

Photographs may help us understand and resolve the issue more quickly, but they are not a condition of exercising your statutory rights.

Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Where goods are faulty or otherwise fail to conform to the contract, we will meet our legal obligations, including applicable return costs.

These rights apply to both personalised and non-personalised products.

12. Lost or Delayed Deliveries

If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery period, please contact us.

We will investigate delayed or missing deliveries and work towards an appropriate resolution.

Selecting an untracked delivery service does not remove your statutory rights or our legal responsibilities concerning delivery.

13. Product Use and Care

Customers should follow any relevant product care and safety instructions supplied with their purchase.

Wooden and slate products may require appropriate cleaning and care.

Unless explicitly described as suitable for dishwashers, microwaves or outdoor use, please do not assume products are designed for these conditions.

14. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the original designs, photographs, graphics and written content on this website belong to Spinning Chicken Gifts or are used under appropriate permission or licence.

They must not be reproduced commercially without authorisation.

Customers supplying artwork, logos or other material for personalisation confirm that they have the necessary permission to request its use.

15. Privacy and Personal Information

We collect and process personal information necessary to manage orders, fulfil purchases and provide customer service.

Further details about how personal information is handled are available in our Privacy Policy.

16. Contact and Complaints

If you have a question, concern or complaint about a product or order, please contact us using the details provided on our Contact page.

We aim to resolve concerns fairly and promptly.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

Any changes will apply to new orders placed after the updated terms are published. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights or alter agreed terms for existing orders.

18. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections applicable in the customer’s place of residence.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes rights that cannot legally be restricted.
